"Saratoga's patriotic spirit, the 'can-do' attitude of the convention bureau and city leader makes Saratoga stand out as a reunion to remember"

For more than 100 years, Saratoga Springs has been proud to be chosen as a wonderful place to host a military reunion. From those who served on America’s most legendary battleships – including the USS Yorktown, the USS New Jersey, and the USS Saratoga – to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and the Military Order of the Purple Heart – the men and women who have have served America are honored in Saratoga and given our warmest welcome as very special guests.

Saratoga’s patriotic spirit also shines in the many famous museums, including the NYS Military Museum, and historic sites which are woven in the rich fabric of American history. Long recognized as the turning point of the American revolution, the battle of Saratoga is brought to life at Saratoga National Historical Park. THE BATTLE THAT
CHANGED HISTORY

Flush with his victory at Fort Ticonderoga, General John Burgoyne was confident he could stop the American rebellion once and for all. Instead, on October 17, 1777, after days of terrible fighting, he surrendered to the Americans at Saratoga - ranked as one of the 15 most decisive battles in world history.

"Saratoga Springs is the perfect setting for a military association meeting. It’s like a picture out of a Norman Rockwell painting and close to so many military and historic sites. The local people are charming, and the active duty military is eager to participate in helping with reunion presentations.”
George H. Gasser
USS Saratoga

"My ship’s reunion in Saratoga will be hard to match. We are still receiving letters and comments from shipmates saying what a memorable experience they had here. Saratoga Springs is the greatest little city in the State of New York as far as I’m concerned.”
The Late Peter Montalvo
Founder of the USS Yorktown (CV-5) Club & Survivor of the battles of
 Coral Sea and Midway
