(From the Saratogian) - SARATOGA SPRINGS >> Joe Farrington and John Stevens were best friends growing up and members of the inaugural Saratoga Springs High School ice hockey team to compete as a varsity sport in 1976-77. And even though Stevens was the best man at Farrington’s wedding, the two Class of ‘77 Saratoga grads drifted apart as they got older.
