Outdoor Market Remains Open at High Rock Park through October 31

Saratoga Farmers’ Market Association will celebrate the opening of their winter market at the Lincoln Baths in the Saratoga Spa State Park. Festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting just prior to 9 a.m. led by special guests including Mayor Joanne Yepsen and other community officials, as well as vendors and customers, invited to gather on the front steps of the Lincoln Baths.

Celebrations will include live music, a free activity for children of all ages offered by the Globe School, as well as give-a-ways and discounts on market logo merchandise from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Saratoga Farmers’ Market is a year-round market, and has been in operation since 1978. Every year on Saturdays from November through April, the market hosts approximately 40 vendors on two floors of the building selling vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, yogurt, milk, baked goods, jams, spirits, soap, wool, flowers, holiday greens, and freshly prepared and ready-to-eat foods. The market is proud to provide customers with local products from four counties: Saratoga, Schenectady, Rensselaer and Washington.

“The Saratoga Farmers’ Market Association is off to a great start with our indoor market as we begin our third year at the Lincoln Baths beginning on November 7, 2015 through April 30, 2016, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will have several new winter vendors providing vegetables, meats, crafts, wine and spirits. Be sure to stop by to check us out. We will also have special events throughout the season that are free and open to the community,” notes Phyllis Underwood, president of the Saratoga Farmers’ Market Association.

The Saratoga Farmers’ Market mission is to support local farms and businesses and provide a fun atmosphere for all. The market has won numerous awards for its products and service including this year’s “Best Of” by Saratoga Today.
