Update on New York State Weddings

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced New York State will allow wedding receptions with up to 150 people, as long as all attendees get tested for COVID-19 beforehand. The guest count will be limited to 150 people or 50% of the reception venue’s capacity, whichever is smaller. The new rules for receptions go into effect Monday, March 15th. See official guidance here.

New York State Travel Advisory

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that domestic travelers will no longer be required to quarantine after entering New York State from another U.S. state or territory starting Thursday, April 1st. The New York State Department of Health still recommends quarantine after domestic travel as an added precaution to stop the spread of COVID-19. Mandatory quarantine remains in effect for international travelers. See COVID-19 Travel Advisory here.

New York State Liquor Authority Guidance

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that, given the continued decline in hospitalization and infection rates throughout New York State, he has signed Executive Order 202.94 extending closing times for bars, restaurants, gyms and fitness centers, casinos, billiards halls, as well as other State Liquor Authority-licensed establishments, from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. statewide beginning Sunday, February 14th.

Take Our Stay Safe Pledge

Discover Saratoga's Stay Safe Pledge enlists both businesses and guests to share their commitment to abide by New York State’s protocols, including wearing masks and maintaining physical distance. Businesses that take the Stay Safe Pledge will have access to free signage that can be displayed to allow customers to easily recognize those businesses who are volunteering and pledging to follow safety protocols. In addition, there is free signage that allows businesses to clearly communicate the expectations of customers to ensure the safety for all patrons and employees. By following these guidelines and showing our respect to the people around us, we can minimize the spread of COVID-19 and keep our doors open.
