Saratoga County is steeped in Revolutionary War history, and this December offers a rare chance to experience it firsthand. As part of the multi-year Saratoga 250 commemoration, the region will honor the 250th anniversary of Henry Knox’s incredible 1775 “Noble Train of Artillery”—a daring winter mission that helped turn the tide of the American Revolution.

Knox and a team of determined patriots hauled 60 tons of cannon from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston, crossing icy rivers, snow-covered forest, and treacherous terrain. Their successful delivery positioned the Continental Army to drive the British from Boston Harbor—one of the Revolution’s earliest and most pivotal victories.

To celebrate this remarkable achievement, Saratoga County is hosting a full day of history, music, and family-friendly events on Saturday, December 13.
