Saratoga Spa State Park, a National Historic Landmark, is one of Saratoga County’s most iconic green spaces. During the winter months, visitors can enjoy 12 miles of groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Moreau Lake State Park, located in Gansevoort, offers beaches, campsites, hiking trails, and opportunities for fishing and boating. Saratoga National Historical Park, the site of the pivotal Revolutionary War battles, boasts a historical experience alongside scenic views and trails for walking and cycling.

Saratoga Springs hiking trails are perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling. For a leisurely stroll, the Zim Smith Trail is a paved, multi-use path stretching over 11 miles, winding through forests and alongside waterways, ideal for birdwatching year-round. Enjoy a section of the 750-mile Empire State Trail just east of Saratoga Springs. Ideal for all fitness levels, its flat terrain and scenic routes that follow former rail and canal paths make it perfect for a relaxed outing.
Rafting and Water Adventures
From thrilling whitewater rides to peaceful lake cruises, Saratoga County offers unforgettable ways to enjoy the water. The Sacandaga Outdoor Center provides guided trips down the Sacandaga River, including whitewater rafting, kayaking, and tubing—perfect for adventure seekers of all levels.
For a more laid-back experience, head to Saratoga Lake, where several public launch points and local rental shops make it easy to spend a relaxing day paddling or boating. Just a short drive away, Lake George is ideal for a full day of water fun and exploration.

Golf Courses
The Saratoga Spa Golf Course, situated within Saratoga Spa State Park, features two distinct courses. Choose from a championship 18-hole course or a more relaxed nine-hole experience.
