Craft Beer, Beverages, and Breweries

Anyone looking to quench their thirst with generous pours of craft beers and cocktails will find respite in Saratoga Couty. We have some of the best craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries in the Capital Region. And if you’re into beer and alcohol-related events, join us for Saratoga Beer Summit, Saratoga Brewfest, Bloody Mary Fest, and more. It’s safe to say there’s no shortage of boozy libations in Saratoga!

Finding high-quality craft beer “close to me” isn’t the challenge it once was, nor is it limited to the big cities. In Saratoga County, we are lucky to have an abundance of breweries that celebrate the Capital District's extraordinary creativity and use of high-quality ingredients. What better place to start than Druthers Brewing Company? They say their beer is a tribute to free-thinkers, and we’re inclined to agree! Here, you’ll get to try styles ranging from Pale Ales to Pilsners and Lagers, and their food menu boasts tasty pub grub, perfect to pair with your pint.

Artisanal Brew Works is known for its New England-style IPAs, Sours, Fruited Ales, Pilsners, Stouts, and Belgian-style beers. However, their kitchen menu boasts much more – from tasty appetizers to American-style classics! This Saratoga brewery has become an institution, with its welcoming atmosphere inviting everyone to try something new.

Common Roots Brewing Company has one of the biggest craft beer cellars in the region. Its wide range of seasonal beers means there’s always something new and creative to try. The on-site tasting room is perfect for a night out, or you can buy some take-away cans or growlers to take home and enjoy.

Hank Hudson Brewing Co. does things a little differently. Based on the concept of a classic British pub (in both decor and drink selection), it’s a new spin on craft beer culture, founded by passionate locals. If golf is your passion, you’ll love that the brewery is situated right on the Fairways of Halfmoon, allowing you to perfect your swing and treat yourself to a tasting after your round.

Not sure where to start? Thankfully, some crafty souls came together in 2015 to form the Capital Craft Beverage Trail, which takes you around the region’s numerous local beverage producers and vendors. The tour highlights quality, locally sourced ingredients and isn’t just about beer! Wine, whiskey, cider enthusiasts, and more will find plenty to enjoy.
