Family-friendly, fun, and utterly delicious, Discover Saratoga’s Annual Chowderfest is one of the area’s most highly anticipated events of the year – and largest event in Upstate New York! On a Saturday in February, Saratoga County’s best bars and restaurants open their doors and serve up delicious samples of chowder to throngs of attendees.
In 2024, Chowderfest will be bigger and better as it celebrates 25 years! Discover Saratoga will be celebrating this milestone in grand style. You can look forward to savoring 4 oz. servings of a wide variety of the finest chowders in Saratoga County, all for just $2. While you're here, enjoy some live music downtown, check out fun family-friendly activities, and shop for collectible shirts and hats. There will also be some great surprises.

Chowderfest has changed tremendously over the years! What started as small gatherings on Caroline Street in 1999 has evolved into citywide street closures complete with flash mobs. It is a community tradition that attracts thousands of attendees each year.
Last year, on a chilly Saturday in February, Chowderfest had a stellar year:
- 112,000 cups of chowder
- 40,000 people
- 82 vendors
