Winter doesn’t have to be the season designated for hibernation and Netflix binging (though I would argue binge-watching is indeed a year-round sport). In fact, the chillier months tend to be the opposite in Saratoga Springs, New York. There’s a lot that happened this season, including fan-favorite events, large conventions and new businesses opening their doors. There’s also quite a lot to do in Saratoga during the snowier months like snowshoeing, ice skating, drinking delicious craft brews and, of course, shopping.

Rather than telling you how great winter is in Saratoga, we searched for the best pictures on Instagram to show you. Our list includes shots taken from locals, visitors, businesses and more. Saratoga Spa State Park

I mean, can someone explain how @SaratogaDogWalkers managed to get all those dogs to sit still for a photo? But in all seriousness, Saratoga Spa State Park is THE best park to bring your dog to. There’s plenty for your furry pal to sniff and explore!

Avenue of the Pines is truly breathtaking.

Sorry Virginia, Saratoga is for lovers.

The carousel in Congress Park may be closed for the winter, but it still makes for a great photo!

Winter events in Saratoga

Loving the couples caught in the crowd on Caroline Street during Saratoga Chowderfest on February 2!

These teams are playing hockey way better than I ever could have during the Saratoga Frozen Springs Classic Pond Hockey Tournament in early February.

Saratoga Beer Summit had quite the amazing turnout this year at the Saratoga Springs City Center.

Food to try in Saratoga

Well, it appears that Max London’s has a got a strong avocado game. Don’t even get me started on how delicious that bread looks, too.

If you haven’t stopped by the brand-new Flatbread Social on Henry Street, you have a lot of pizza to catch up on. What a great spot for the whole family!
