Hamlet & Ghost serves high-quality, custom-crafted cocktails and New American small plates in a welcoming, industrial-chic, historic setting in downtown Saratoga Springs, New York. Seasonal cocktails highlight fresh ingredients, from just pressed juices to homemade bitters and tinctures.
We blend one part speakeasy, two parts modern cocktail bar, and a dash of ambiance—and aim to put you at ease, delight you with flavors, and deliver an understated and relaxing experience.
Everything Made from Scratch
We revise our menu selections throughout the year to blend local flavors with global tastes. Nightly specials bring unique meat, fish, seafood, and farm-fresh produce to the table. Flavorful bar snacks, tapas, and creative sweets, including coffee cocktails, round out the dining experience.

Historic Setting, Modern Flair
Located at 24 Caroline Street by the corner of Putnam Street, Hamlet & Ghost’s building was once a feed and grain store in the 1870s. It became a hardware store during Prohibition—an alleged facade to a hidden gambling spot within.
Today, Hamlet & Ghost is a contemporary craft cocktail bar built on a colorful past.
The bar’s interior features an eclectic blend of historic exposed brick, reclaimed wood from a local mushroom farm, a poured concrete bar flanked by white subway-style wall tile, and industrial-style seating and lighting. New, modern elements blend with old and rustic features.
