The countdown is on. The Belmont Stakes Racing Festival kicks off in just a month, and on Saturday, June 7, Saratoga Race Course will once again host the final leg of the Triple Crown. Excitement is building across Saratoga County, as local businesses and organizations gear up to welcome racing fans from around the world for this historic event.

 

Belmont on Broadway Concert

On Wednesday, June 4, the first official race day, Downtown Saratoga Springs will come alive with a FREE concert on Broadway from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Expect street closures from Van Dam Street to Lake Avenue (near City Hall) beginning early that morning for stage setup.

We’re excited to announce Gin Blossoms as the headliner, with special guest Uprooted. Opening acts, as well as pre-show and post-show parties, are in the works—stay tuned for more details.

 

Local Events and Celebrations

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is planning a week of engaging events for racing fans of all ages:

  • June 4: Belmont Drop-In Program – Kids can learn about the Belmont Stakes and design their own Belmont Stakes Plate Trophy.

  • June 5: Belmont Gala at the Canfield Casino – A night of elegance and celebration.

  • June 6: Belmont Bites & Brews – Enjoy a laid-back evening with food trucks, local brews, and entertainment.

  • June 7: Belmont Saturday Morning Social – Kick off race day with an interactive morning focused on art, sport, and the excitement of thoroughbred racing.

  • June 8: Belmont Family Fun Fest – A carnival-style day at the museum with games, food, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.

Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga is celebrating the Belmont Stakes with Embrace the Belmont, helping local business owners, professionals, and residents deepen their understanding of horse racing, so they'll feel prepared to not only embrace the Belmont Racing Festival but also feel capable of discussing this year’s Belmont Stakes field with an aura of expertise.
