Hours of planning, reparation and hard work has led to this moment.

When Chowderfest begins, restaurants throw open their doors. Streets fill with crowds of people. An encounter with an old friend. A couple starting a new tradition. A memory being made. Out-of-towners travel far and wide. All for the taste of chowder done right. Music bounces between buildings, and the air fills with the smell of mouthwatering food.

But it’s more than just chowder. It’s an opportunity to leave your winter blues at home. A break from the cold no matter what the temperature is. It’s a reason to gather with friends and family, old and new. It’s a day to bring the community together. It’s a tradition that keeps growing.

This is Saratoga. This is CHOWDERFEST.

On February 3, 2018, 88 vendors opened their doors to 40,000 people, and served 137,000+ bowls of chowder during the 20th Annual Saratoga Chowderfest. Watch This is Saratoga Chowderfest (3:20) to learn why this must-attend event keeps growing every year.
